Welcomes State University of Malang for International Community Service Program

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT — On August 25, 2026, the School of Political Science and Public Administration hosted a welcoming ceremony for a delegation of faculty members and representatives from Universitas Negeri Malang (State University of Malang), Indonesia, marking the official launch of the International Partnership Community Service Program (PKLN).

The opening ceremony was honored by the Acting Dean of the School, who delivered a welcoming address to the Indonesian delegation led by Prof. Dr. Gatut Susanto, Dr. Ade Eka Anggraini, and Ms. Khusnul Khotimah.

The program runs under the theme “Strengthening Indonesian Language Diplomacy through the BIPA Political Science Program for Thai Students.” It aims to leverage language and culture as tools for cultural diplomacy and soft power. Through this initiative, Thai students are given the opportunity to enhance their language proficiency, explore Indonesia’s socio-political context, and broaden their perspectives on international relations.

This collaborative endeavor represents a significant milestone in strengthening academic ties between the School and the State University of Malang—particularly through its Center for Indonesian Language and Culture Studies (BIPA). The initiative is expected to pave the way for future joint research collaborations, as well as student and faculty exchange programs between the two institutions.
