From May 6-9, 2025, faculty members from the School of Political Science and Public Administration, Walailak University, visited the State University of Yogyakarta (UNY) and the State University of Malang (UM) in Indonesia as part of the “Building Cooperation with Universities in the ASEAN and Asian Regions” project. The visit aimed to establish networks and develop international academic programs.

The delegation consisted of four faculty members:

Assistant Professor Phaphan Nilsawad Duhamelin, Head of the Research Station at the School

The group met with administrators and faculty members from UNY and UM to exchange ideas and plan the development of educational and research collaboration.

The objectives of the visit were:

To develop curriculum collaboration between universities in ASEAN and Asia by exchanging modern teaching methods and enhancing programs to be more globally oriented.

To promote the exchange of educational personnel, such as faculty members and experts, to develop knowledge and skills in research and teaching at the regional level.

To increase opportunities for educational and cultural exchanges between students in ASEAN and Asia, allowing students to learn cross-cultural skills and foreign languages.

To create academic and research networks between the participating universities, which will contribute to the development of innovations and new knowledge.

To enhance the university’s reputation as an educational institution committed to being a center of international learning and research.
