Thursday, Feb 24th, 2022, the Dean of the School of Political Science and Laws, Professor Dr. Surasit Vajirakachorn, welcomed 29 exchange students from the State University of Malang, Indonesia, who would spend two months online with the school. The Indonesian students will attend the online classes and serve as Indonesian language tutors for second-year ASEAN Studies Program students from the end of February to the end of May 2022. In addition to participating in Indonesian language classes, the State University of Malang exchange students will also take Thai language classes offered by the School of Political Science and Laws.

Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic, this year’s student exchange activities have shifted from on-site to online forms. Previously, the ASEAN Studies Program would invite international students to participate in activities with students of the program at Walailak University.

The program anticipates that these activities will aid in fostering and advancing students’ language abilities. It will also develop a network of foreign acquaintances, allowing students to get more comfortable with and adjust to their new environment when they study abroad the next academic year.
